Week 1 (July 21st-25th)
Mentor Lauren Latour has helped teach the kids the basics of the software: movement, communication and building. Homesteading has been an important part of the above process. We are currently deciding on the layout for the world and carrying out research on the chosen topic.
Week 2 (July 28th-August 1st)
Students finished homesteading, making sure they incorporated all that they learned the week before. Students chose their research topics within the Conserve and Protect Category and worked on gathering information. Teachers and mentors learned some valuable lessons this week as well. We raised their homestead areas to give more room in the world. We found that this was not an easy task! In addition, we are in the process of learning how to make sprites.
